The Recipe For The Best Banana Bread You'll Ever Taste.
So, this is what you require in order to make this very easy bread.
A single cup of butter (for shortening).
Five bananas mashed up well (the more over-ripe the better).
Two and a half cups of sugar.
4 eggs
3/4 of a cup full of buttermilk.
3 level cups full of flour.
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
Salt - 1/2 a teaspoon.
A cup of chopped up nuts if required.
Vanilla - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.
First of all add the bananas and the sugar together and slowly add in the eggs (only 1 at a time) and beat them all together well whilst doing this. Put in the sifted baking soda, salt and flour and then add the buttermilk. At this point you can add in the nuts if you have chosen to use them or any other additions.
Empty the contents into 2 greased loaf pans but leave about an inch gap from the top of the pans to allow the bread room to rise. Bake for an hour and 20 minutes on 325 degrees.
This bread has the advantage of being very nutritious and doesn't have the refined carbs that white bread has. There are a number of recipes for banana bread out there that make very good use of over-ripe and ready to throw away bananas.
Don't forget that if you do not use over-ripe bananas the top of the cake (loaf) can tend to remain a little moist.
